I am deeply saddened to hear about Desmond's demise.We did Internship together at Ratnapura.
He came to see me with Indra, prior to his emigration to US . When I contacted him via email,a couple of years
ago,he was in good spirit and in full-time work.May his soul rest in piece.

Thank you for informing me of the sad news of Desmond. It is always sad to hear of our mates passing on. I knew him quite well mainly for his humour and that discerning smile of him.

Sorry about the delay in replying- I have been busy with a close friend and colleague who is on her way out of our midst- very painful to watch.

I am very sorry to hear that Desmond has passed away.
During medical school years I used to give him a lift in my car many times going home to Wellawatte.
I am very sorry that I did not get a chance to meet him for many years even though he was living about thirty to forty miles away from Hayward California where me and Rajan Ratnesar were practicing and residing!
Desmond I knew was a good person and may his Soul rest In Peace . Please covey my deepest sympathies to his family.

"I never met Desmond after graduation. I met his younger brother who was working in a private hospital in Galle in the 1980s. Desmond sent me a package of disposable medical items to be used in my unit in Karapitiya.
May he Rest In Peace "
