  1. Cyril
Many congratulations. It is indeed such an honour. You well deserve it.

  2. Heartiest congratulations Cyril, a well deserved honour. Next time you visit Colombo, why don't you fly through Manchester and spend a few days with me? Very best wishes.

  3. Congratulations Cyril, I think it is the ultimate honour to be invited by your Alma Mater to be the Chief Guest at it's prize giving.
I vividly remember you playing for Ceylon at the Oval against the MCC (Tom Graveney was a member of that team) and excelling by bagging a few wickets. Probably Lareef Idroos also played in that match.

  4. Sorry,Cyril
My message of Congratulation seems to have gone stray.I selected the profile as Google Account.I am not a computer geek, when compared with Speedy&Lucky.
You deserve that honour from your Alma Mater.
    You will remember our days in Bloemfontein Hostel:We had a bunch of sportsmen,Makulolowa brothers(Trnity Lions)-Rugby,Felix Senanayake-tennis,Rasalingam-badminton,Nimal Jayathilake&Thiagarajah-rowing.
I know that Nythya Jayawikrama played cricket for Mahinda and University of Peradeniya.Did he play for Combined Universities? From our batch there five of us,which includes, you,Nithya,Con Bala,Norman Srikantha(no longer with us)and myself.
You,remember visiting my home while in Birmingham on a tour and had a long chat and reveled your ethnicity, getting married to lass from Moratuwa. You had the chance of meeting B L Perera& his wife(unfortunately BL is no longer with us.You also mentioned how you intervene and stopped an exchange of blowa between Kottadi Nada& London Kandiah(both seniors to us)
Only a few remembered involvement in Athletics.I was a middle distance runner and took part in the Annual road race.
It,s a pity we lost contacts altogether.
My doors are open to both of you any time,if you happen to visit Uk.

  5. Dear Cyril,
You deserve the honour. I am learning so many things about you at this late stage. I didn't realise that you were in our brother school in Kotahena. And you are a cricketer of distinction. It's never too late to find out these wonderful things about our talented batch mates. All the best to you! from Zita

  6. Well done mate.
You may remember that we were seated (now as written 'were SAT') next to each other in our 6-months Course -- Chemistry at Uni. in 1961.!!!
Nevertheless we did meet before that on the opposing sides on the cricket field in our schooldays-- you may remember!!.
Best of everything to you & your family.
    God be with you all.
