ReplyDeletePram, I agree totally with Nihal. You could not have had better guides than Rani and Indra. Buddhika and I had a similar guided tour way back in 1988, when we had a family holiday in their home in Staten Island.

Louis Comfort Tiffany did not join the family jewelry business ( 5th avenue, Manhattan ) but trained in stained glass technique in europe and improved on it. Returning to the USA set up a flourishing business and built his home in Laurelton , Long island. He was also an accomplished painter.

Remember the movie BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY, with AUDREY HEPBURN. Tiffanylamps are much sought after costing a large sum at auctions. Wisteria and the dragon fly are two of his recurring themes in the lamps.
