A member of our batch Manel Ratnavibhushana Wijesundera had written a nice tribute to our late teacher and it appeared in the Ceylon Medical Journal in 2004. It is reproduced below.

One of the great teachers of our time. He taught us more than we needed to know because of his enthusiasm. He showed tremendous kindness to us all. In the harsh environment of education of that era it was a Godsend. Manel has written a comprehensive account of his work and life. Prof Dissanaike was one whom I admired greatly. May he find Eternal Peace.
