London Mini-Reunion Sept 27th 2021 and Pram visits Zita at home

London Mini-Reunion- September Monday 27th Sept 2021

And Pram visits Zita at home

Pram is in London as many of you know. She was very keen to have a mini-reunion before she gets back to Sri Lanka in a few weeks, She organised a meeting at Satay House Malaysian Restaurant in London with as many colleagues as possible who were able to come on that day.

Pram came with her good friends Andrei and Lakshi Pereira. Those present were, Harsha and Harshi Boralessa, Jimmy Wickremasinghe, Douglas Mulkirigama, Sunil and Sirima Abeysuriya, Narada Wijetilleke, Mahroof Mohideen.

Pram was also able to visit Zita at her home in Shoreham by Sea and wish her well as she bravely battles her illness with immense fortitude and courage.

You can see the ever cheerful Zita with Pram in her house. Let us all pray for Zita. (Published with Zita's permission)

Thank you for your comments and the pictures.
Pram,we are very grateful to you for organising the mini reunion. The weather was quite mild for autumn, the food was delicious as usual and we had a great time recalling the good old medical college days. Maharoof gave an update on the use of artificial intelligence in modern medicine.Everyone looked relaxed, happy and well, not much change from three years ago.
A nice photograph of Zita and Pram, during her second visit. Zita has shown extraordinary courage and determination, our prayers and thoughts are with her.

Lovely to see you smilling in the photo with all the problems.
A smile is a sign of joy,
A hug is a sign of love,
A laugh is a sign of happiness.

  8. Dear Pram
Now we have made it a habit to wait patiently for Pramilla to arrive from across the sea to to arrange a mini reunion in London. It is true no one does it better and with greater enthusiasm, cajoling and even twisting the arm if need be to make a gathering. She has succeeded every time and each one being infinitely better than the one before. I just couldn’t make it this time and feel I have missed a fine opportunity to see my friends again.
It is so lovely to see Zita happy and smiling with Pram. We wish Zita the very best. May God be with Zita in her onward journey.
Thank you Pram for all your efforts to be with us. I am so pleased we were able to meet at the RSM and the Wallace Collection. I will indeed cherish those memories. I sincerely hope you will be able to visit London again soon. Take care and have a safe journey home.

  9. Nihal, I agree fully with you about Pram. She is a truly wonderful and caring person and is so instrumental in promoting BU. She visited Zita twice while she was in London. She is also a consummate organiser. BU by the way stands for Batch Unity!

  10. It's a shame that Londoner from our batch lacks organising skills and determination. Poor Pram has to travel several thousand miles, face hazards of travel by road and air in order to execute her long lasting desire to bring together a host of long lost friends.

  11. Pram thank you for sharing photos of the Mini reunion. It's lovely to see our much loved batchmates even in photographs.
Thank you very much also for sharing your photo with Zita with me earlier. As you know Zita holds a special place in my heart... We first met as Body Partners in the Block and have been close ever since. She is my son's Godmother as well as the attesting witness at his wedding. We also had a lovely time as fellow Consultants at Jayawardane pura hospital. Thank you ever so much for visiting her and cheering her up. Zita is absolutely amazing the way she is coping with the challenge of her critical illness .

  12. Thank you Pram for sharing the photo of Zita. Zita, you are an extraordinary batch mate who befriended me when I came from Peradeniya. I recall the encouragement you gave during difficulties encountered while doing the Medical Professorial appointment. Wishing you courage in facing this episode of illhealth. love Owli
