Greetings from Razaque

Razaque had sent this with a special request to post it on the blog. Considering the special circumstances that our good old friend (unable to get about etc.) is in, I had no hesitation in doing so.

  6. Best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year to Raz and Farina
Razaque we are the Wattala boys still standing but remember our friends who have gone before us. Hunupitiya to Maradana standing room only in the train. All the anatomy we learnt much of it a waste of precious time. From all the pharmacology I learnt what remains is anorexia nausea and vomiting. After the 5 years of hard labour real work began. Now that too is a distant memory
    Take care my friend

    1. Thanks for digging up the old Salad days, ND. Those were the days care fee and blissful. While you spent those days gainfully, I just abused my time for no good return. That's life.
Now the Hunupitiya Railway Station has changed a great deal. A Highway to "nowhere" has demolished the Station Master's house to give way to this monstrosity and the whole area is unrecognisable.
Change have to come and a price has to be paid.
Wish you and your dear wife happiness and good health for foreseeable future.

Further to our correspondence I have changed my hearing aid and I am now hearing "Nearer my God to Thee" Is this a bad omen or my brain playing tricks?? I hope its the latter. Tinitus I understand has to take its own course!!

  9. Thank you Srianee for your good wishes.
May the same prevail with you.
As I am unable to get about, I do not see any of our batch mates "out in the sticks" here in Dundee. Nevertheless Dundee has been good to us with all the convenient facilities right on hand.
One must be grateful even for small mercies.
Wish you well with good health, Srianee.
