  1. Zita's playing is beautiful as always. I really really miss her. There is a huge empty space in my life where I haI had a caring loving sister.

  2. This is beautiful, Mahen! You have taken a great deal of trouble to put this together. A loving tribute to the friends who have left us. Zita would have approved, because she cared deeply about her Medical College friends and wanted to keep the blog going even when she was quite ill. Her playing is beautiful. What a multi talented, warm soul! May she Rest in Peace.

Thank you for posting the beautiful video of the dear departed friends with the wonderful images of nature which Zita loved so much all wrapped in the music of Ludovico Einaudi played so well on her Clavinova. This is indeed a fitting farewell for a beautiful friendship she had with so many of our batch.
The elegant piece Le onde “waves” how very appropriate depicting the ups and downs of our own lives. This is a wonderful reminder of the many times we met as a batch in London when Zita moved around with such grace speaking with all.
Zita left us far too soon but will continue to live in our hearts and minds forevermore.
    Rest in Peace.

  6. It was a vefy moving occasion today. Almost surealstic as it is hard to believe that Zita is not with us anymore. The funeral ceremony was transmittted on line extremely well and the feeling of grief experienced by all was profound and pervasive. Thanks for attending the actual ceremony, Bora.

  7. Hi Mahen

I agree that the service was very moving and that Zoom was able to capture the mood of the occasion. The recording of Zita and her granddaughter performing “One day at a time sweet Jesus” was poignant.

Normally at this time of year, the skies are grey with clouds. It is cold and damp. However thankfully, on this occasion, we had blue skies, no rain and very mild conditions (210 C).

At the end of the burial I conveyed my sympathies to Jo who was genuinely pleased to see me there. He introduced me to his son who seemed to be very familiar with my name, probably through the blog.

Zita was a very kind, versatile and talented person. I appreciate her expressing and sharing her creativity through the Blog.

    May she rest in peace.
