Visitors on Holiday
I had a few friends mainly from our batch, for dinner last night. They are all spending a holiday in Sri Lanka.
L - R: Senani (SD) Wickramasinghe (of our junior batch) from Canada, Nalin Nanayakkara (from California), myself, Suren Iyer (from England) and Nihal Goonetilake (from England)
Lovely to see Nalin, Gompa and Suren youthful as ever after so many years. I am certain amidst the fun and frolic Lucky has 'sold' our Blog to our friends to be in the network and keep in touch. It's been a long journey since those days in the Faculty. ND
When I saw 1 comment, my head said it must be ND and my heart was hoping for a new face! It was indeed lovely to see our friends again at Lucky's place, which is one of two main HQs when we come to Sri Lanka. Senani's brother Voharatissa was with me at Royal. Strange how I always remember cars! His father used to come in a two tone Fiat (I think it was blue and white Fiat Millicento). It bothers me that I live in UK and I am yet to meet Suren Iyer here. Suren, if you are reading this, we must meet!
You may have looked at the older version. Suren didn't have a separate e-mail address earlier. I used to communicate through Sweeni. I have updated the Directory by including more contact information for Suren.
Lucky. You were right. I have now renamed the directory in my records giving the date of latest revision in the name of the docx. I now have Suren's email address and will drop him an electronic line.

ReplyDeleteWhen you and I meet in London let us try to rope in Suren!! How about that?
ND
Yes, we must ND! I shall drink to that. I hope you have his contact details.
ReplyDeleteAll that information is available in the Batch Directory that I developed and circulated some time ago.
ReplyDeleteLucky, that is the first place I looked but Suren's details are not there, only his wife's name is there.
