It's great that one thought leads to another and now we are talking of the futility of man's toil in the world because there's so much inequality. It is good to hear about the cartoonist, Michael Leunig. They are clever people who see more than what is obvious. And you are creative! What more than that. Man is d...ND, it is certainly worth thinking about. Man is described as being "innately moral" and I would love to believe that is true but I am not at all sure. All I know is that Greed is Universal, as is self preservation. Money is God but only because it is a means to satisfy endless greed; greed for material wealth, greed for power and greed for permanency where none not exists.....

I like this quote by Michael Leunig, a political cartoonist from Australia.

"The hypocrisy of some is that we like to think of ourselves as sophisticated and evolved, but we're still also driven by primal urges like greed and power"

All these ruminations and reflections might be "Rubbish" in some people's view!Mahendrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11940825368030959494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5647561953942883640.post-18947627646252461862016-08-15T01:34:59.783-07:002016-08-15T01:34:59.783-07:00I remember when I first arrived in London, all tho...I remember when I first arrived in London, all those years ago, I was dazzled by the bright lights of this great city. I firmly believed there were no poor people in England until I found a tramp delving into garbage. He found a half empty can of coke and I could see the happiness in his face. Just goes to show that one man's rubbish is another man's treasure!! Even after 5000 years of human existence on this planet we have not learnt to share our wealth equally. Political dogma, religion and economic strategies have failed to get rid of poverty. Many born to poverty die in poverty.
I know I have digressed from the topic but it is important to dwell on these issues despite our busy lives.Dr Nihal D Amerasekerahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02583970465135902534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5647561953942883640.post-81306039858457823202016-08-14T10:40:52.488-07:002016-08-14T10:40:52.488-07:00Zita,

You ...Zita,
Really..... What a load of RUBBISH!!!!
You have the great knack of even converting rubbish into great poetry.
I wish I had that talent.
I have been endowed with the 'habit' of gardening, toiling away with my sweat & blood----- come rain -- come sunshine -- come snow.... with my dirty spade & trowel, while you in your cushy air-conditioned indoors sipping away at a 'goblet' of wine or something stronger stroking away with your gilded pen!!!
That is injustice....
I will have a few words "HIS" ear when I next meet "HIM"!!
I suppose:-- TO EACH HIS/HER OWN.
Carry on regardless Zita, we want more.
Kindest regards.
Razaquenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5647561953942883640.post-2085238993279636492016-08-14T10:40:18.330-07:002016-08-14T10:40:18.330-07:00Zita

A lovers message from old or a receipt from an electronic till. As those famous lyrics go " the answer is blowing in the wind". Paper indeed has changed our world.
